Description

Caprese Flatbread with Whipped Garlic Feta is a fresh, flavorful twist on the classic Caprese salad—topped on crispy flatbread with creamy whipped feta, juicy cherry tomatoes, melty mozzarella, and a sweet balsamic glaze. A summer favorite that’s quick to make and absolutely stunning to serve.

Ingredients

  • For the Whipped Garlic Feta
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • For the Flatbread
  • 2 flatbreads or naan

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella, torn into pieces

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (for drizzling)

  • Olive oil, for brushing

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  • In a food processor or blender, combine feta, Greek yogurt, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  • Lightly brush the flatbreads with olive oil and place on the baking sheet.

  • Spread the whipped garlic feta evenly over each flatbread.

  • Top with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the flatbread is crisp and the cheese is melty.

  • Remove from oven. Add fresh basil and drizzle with balsamic glaze.

  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap in roasted garlic for a deeper, sweeter flavor.

  • Add heirloom tomatoes for extra color and flavor.

  • Don’t skip the balsamic glaze—it ties everything together.

  • To make it a meal, pair with grilled chicken or a green salad.

  • Great served warm, but leftovers taste fantastic cold too.
